Kelowna-based DJs Sticky Buds and jpod (the beat chef) have a
connection and together they slice & dice genres while blowing minds and
speakers alike. Jason & Tyler are crafty and suave and are addicted to dirty
beats, bomb acapellas and genre-mashing combos.
They are residents at HiGHER GRoUND, Kelowna's longest running underground club
night, and Tyler is a regional DMC champ. They have both performed individually
at The Shambhala Music Festival in 2005 and in '06 a decision to link their time
slots together offered a memorable 4-hour funk throw-down that solidified The
StickyPod Connection as a project to pursue & perfect. Now they're on a roll
with out-of-control shows all over the West.
They're not afraid to push the boundaries of conventional dance music and go way
beyond the technical simplicity of mixing tunes. They use their decks like
musical instruments to de-construct Reggae, Hip Hop, Funk, Breaks, and DnB as
they re-construct live edits & mashes using the dopest acapellas and the
phattiest nu skool grooves. Ty & Jay are cool cats with an infectious party
style who assault dance floors. They love what they do and so do their fans, so
get your feet in check and get ready to get "Mad Sik in Da Boot".
