Jason danielson (aka jpod the beat chef) has been flippin' the wax since the fall of 2001 but his taste for the beats has been going strong for much longer. he first began cooking up sounds in grade eleven (1996) when a friend introduced him to a simple sequencing program called making waves. he has been using it ever since and recently finished a solo album project entitled visions of a journey. before he could afford turntables, jpod taught himself to beatmatch using mp3 mixing software. this enabled him to have a head start when he did first gain access to tables. known also for being an adept turntablist, jpod's musical passions include many styles of music and his sets often take the listeners on a journey through new territory. genres include reggae, dub, hiphop, triphop, world, funk, midtempo, and breaks.
