MAMA MICHE – has rocked crowds as a resident at Shambhala Music Festival and all over the world from London to Spain, Cayman Islands to Hawaii playing alongside breakbeat & house music heavyweights from around the world. She recently helped to organize parties at the WMC 2006 in Miami, including the Stanton Sessions which featured home grown Canadian talents Smalltown DJ's, Wicked Lester, Mat The Alien and of course Mama Miche. Not only can she rock the house but Miche runs it too; working full time coordinating bookings for Undefeated Talent and Mother’s Cupboard; get ready for Beats and Bass with Grit, Style and Grace.

“Red Bull is looking for the most versatile OKANAGAN DJ. The winner will get the slot right before Lorin BassNectar at the upcoming HG anniversary party. We are looking for the DJ that can show the widest range of party hopping beats. 6 contestants will take the stage, each showcasing their genre jumping versatility with at least 3 different genres within a 20 minute set (funk, rock, breaks, 80's...you get the idea.)

At the end of the comp, votes will be collected and the winner announced. Host DJ ToDDY RoCKWeLL will be playin between contestants, and after the show. So Come down to Level November 30th and see your favourite DJ's emancipate the beats. No cover before 10:30PM.

There’s hip hop music, there’s house music, then there’s the music of Vinyl Ritchie (a.k.a. Spun–K, a.k.a. Wicked Lester, a.k.a. Scott Arkwell). And while “breaks” is a term that often may be used to label his sound, it’s also a ground halfway between the beats and vibes of hip hop and house, but without the clichés of either. All the way back to ’91, from his Zoo Boogaloo night at the Starfish Room , Cherry Bombs at Sonar during the latter half of the ’90s (both with DJ Czech) to the Big Sexy Funk night at Shine today, Scotty's been spinning records trying to find that combination of different sounds that all revolve around one word: funk.

RoCKSTeADY -  After focusing on the promoting side for the last 2 years under his ALTER EGO "Toddy Rockwell", RoCKSTeADY is back and in top form with a new mix of Housy Electro Breaks.
